Letter to future self.

Dear Future Self (Jenna DeAbreu),
It must have been difficult to get to where you are today. I hear you just finished your Bachelor of Applied Arts degree in Photography exactly like you wanted to! Where are you living now? Still at home or have you flown from the nest? Either way, how was Africa? I hear that you got some awesome shots! I really hope you are still determined to make it into National Geographic like you always wanted to. I know you can do it if you just believe in yourself. Keep sending them your shots and one day they will respond. How is the family? I hear Amanda just had her second kid! I bet you are the best Aunt Michael, and Jenny could ask for. They may not appreciate all the shots you take of them right now, but eventually they will understand the importance of documenting their life as children.  How is the family planning going? Any men catching your eye? ;) Or are you still with your high school sweetheart? Either way never settle for less, make sure that man tells you how special you are everyday! I hope that you are still talking to your parents. How about your dad? I know that the distance was hard, it was even hard for you when you were 17. But now you are 22 now, and I understand you are travelling a lot and busy trying to find a job, which is very difficult these days with this quickly downspiralling economy. So does that mean you have no time for family anymore? I hope you are still talking to him, as he is coming up on retirement he is going to have a bunch of free time that I bet you any money he would love to spend with his youngest child, as you are the only one not busy with starting your own family. How’s your mom? Is John still making her crazy? I hope and pray that you have gotten away from that hell hole, Longos. If not please do it now, before you become more attached. Some things don’t ever change though, so I wouldn’t doubt that you are still working there. Anyways, time for me to go. I hope your future brings good things! Love always!

                                                                                                                          Sincerely, Your past self.

Canada, from the P.O.V of Americans.

Have you ever wondered how the USA views Canada? Watch this video and find out. Is there anything that you have said about Americans that you wish you could take back now? Americans seem to only have good things to say about Canada in this video, but from my experience we have many bad things to say about Americans. So do you think that they really do say bad things about us behind our back? Or are they just proud to be not only our neighbours, but our friends? Either way I think that we should be more grateful to be allies with them as they clearly are grateful about that fact. So next time you are thinking about saying something bad about them, think about this video and all the things they say about us.
Ratatouille starring Patton Oswalt, Ian Holm, Lou Romano, and Peter Sohn brings in the big bucks with a rating of 8.1 stars out of 10. Who wouldn't want to see the movie with all the good messages saying that no matter who you are you can do whatever you put your mind to. Kids and parents will all love this animation for the great storyline and hidden comedy. Am I the only one who thought that after this movie I could cook anything? Well if not I guess its not true. I can cook anything as long as I learn the recipe first, but just a note that I am not as good of a cook as Remy is. My rating for this movie is 8.5 stars out of ten. Way to cook your way to the top Ratatouille. :)

RSA Animate - Changing Education Pardigms.

RSA - "For over 250 years the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA) has been a cradle of enlightenment thinking and a force for social progress.  Our approach is multi-disciplinary, politically independent and combines cutting edge research and policy development with practical action."

Changing Education Paradigms video is a man explaining the problems with today's society and how it effects our education system. These problems will only keep getting worse if we don't do anything to change it. This could create a large problem in future societies. But finding an answer to this problem is not as easy at it seems...

Legend of the Guardians - Guarding their own legends.

Legend of the Guardians the Owls of Gahoole, starring Emily Barclay, Abbie Cornish, Essie Davis, and Adrienne DeFaria comes in with a large 7.1/ 10 stars. When you were a kid did your parents have stories that they told you many times over that you knew weren't real? And did you ever go out into the world and find out these stories were true? I doubt it. But that is what happens in this movie. The kids think that these stories are fake, but as soon as they are kidnapped they realize that the stories were all true and everything that their father had said about the legendary guardians was true. They then find themselves trying to escape the owl army and defeat them, but this isn't as easy as it seems. With a big twist this movies keeps its watchers intrigued, and interested. Out of 10 I would probably rate it a 7.5. Good job guarding that high rating owls of Gahoole!

13 Going on 30 - 30 flirty and thriving.

13 Going on 30, starring Jennifer Garner, and Mark Ruffalo received a 6.1/10 stars, which personally I feel is a little low for this movie, as I would have given it at least an 8 out of 10 stars. Jenna (pretty awesome name) Rink is just like any other kid, because what 13 year old doesn't wish that they were older. But even if they skipped all the years in between 13 and 30 they would feel as lost in their own lives as Jenna does. Imagine skipping 17 years of your life, and waking up trying to cope. How well would you take it? Since I've seen this movie at least 5 times I'd say it is a pretty good movie. I totally recommend that we all should be 30 flirty and thriving as we watch 13 going on 30.

Superbad - Wasn't Super bad don't worry!

Superbad starring, Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, Seth Rogan, and again Emma Stone, is now the top rated movie on my blog! Way to make history. It got a 7.8/10 stars! Even though technically I am not old enough to see it, I did. And I can't believe I waited three years after it came out to see it! :O But I am very glad I did see it, as it was totally hilarious! And that is that. There isn't much else to say because I was not supposed to have seen it until I am 18, so keep this on the DL! ;)

Saw V - Who's counting anymore.

How Roman Numerals Work! Just a note in case you were like moi and didn't know how they worked. This should clear things up a little bit.

Saw V, starring Tobin Bell, Costas Mandylor, and Scott Patterson only got 5.7/10 stars. I wonder why? Maybe the sick plot? Or wait maybe it was the repetitive plot. Either way, my rating would be about a 6.0 out of 10. Because really, after the first movie I was disgusted with how much gore one movie could have, but now what? They are on their 7th movie now, and can still come up with more ways to torture people? I guess why we are okay with watching these movies is because Jigsaw does have legitimate reasons for torturing them, and he does make it possible for them to escape. We are just wondering what he has up his sleeve, and if people are willing to pay the consequences to get free. I guess giving murders, or criminals a taste of their own medicine is okay if you love revenge. But if you aren't sick minded like me, stick to comedy movies.

Easy A - An Easy A!

Easy A, starring Emma Stone, Penn Badgley, and Amanda Bynes scored a big 7.3/10 stars, so far the best rating on a movie I have reviewed. And if you are wondering why I have only been reviewing movies, it's because I have started a new trend with my blog, and from now on will only be reviewing movies I have seen recently, instead of blogging about the news. So.. Easy A eh? I'll admit, I'd buy it. I laughed and felt I could relate because the movie was made for people my age to show the difficulties of being in high school and the certain pressures. Being funny and having some small amounts of romance gives Easy A a rating of 8.1 stars out of 10 on my scale. Way to go, that was an Easy A!

Nights in Rodanthe - Pronounced Row-dan-theeeee.

Nights in Rodanthe, starring Richard Gere and Diane Lane received a 5.7/10 stars. Maybe it was because it took me until my third time watching it to learn how to pronounce the title... No people it isn't "Row-danth" it is "Row-dan-thee". I hope that clears things up for you. Other than the confusing title I really thought this was a good movie. It had everything a movie needs. It made me laugh and cry. But then I guess that isn't everything a movie needs in general, that is just for female viewers. This movie probably isn't for everyone, but if you are a lover of a sappy love story then you should definitely see it!

The Rocky Horror Picture Show - It was a bit scary.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show, starring Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick, and Meat Loaf was rated a whopping 7.1/10 stars, I guess better than How Do You Know.. But honestly why did it get rated better? Am I the only one who did not understand this movie at all, and only have watched it a million times because of the catchy music numbers? Maybe I am.. But honestly go watch the movie, and then ask yourself at any part of the movie why the events happening at that moment are happening, I bet you any money you can't explain it. But Hey! This movie did come out in 1975, so I guess the lacking plot line and special effects can be understood, my mom thinks it was so bad because " Everyone those days, especially the producers were probably on acid" Her words not mine. Her teenage years, not mine. Maybe that's why I don't understand the movie.. Because I wasn't alive when it came out. Oh well, the fact that it was confusing won't stop me from watching it at least 20 more times throughout my life.

How do you know? - Because I saw it.

How do you know, starring Reese Witherspoon, Owen Wilson, Paul Rudd, and Jack Nicholson was given a 5.3/10 stars. If you are in school still that is almost a fail... is a 53% very good? Not at all. I bet your parents wouldn't be happy if you came home with a 53% now would they? I wasn't too pleased with how the movie was but I don't think I would have been as harsh as to rate it with a 5.3 stars... It was at least a 6.5 stars out of 10. I'll admit my mom was right when she said " It was kind of slow at the beginning", it was very slow, but the plot was okay. Some of the concepts were very good and well displayed but it was very dragged out and you could tell. Almost 2 hours of the same thing happening over and over. In my opinion it only needed to be 1.5 hours... But then again, I am the one blogging about it, not the one making movies...
